American Diabetes Association (ADA) is the leading organization dedicated to advancing the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and cure of diabetes and its complications. Every year, the ADA and International Conference Alerts organizes various events and programs to bring together the diabetes community, including researchers, clinicians, educators, patients, and advocates.
One of the most anticipated events of the ADA is the Scientific Sessions, an annual conference that showcases the latest and most innovative research and clinical practice in diabetes. The Scientific Sessions attracts thousands of attendees from around the world, who participate in lectures, symposia, workshops, poster sessions, and exhibits.
The 84th Scientific Sessions of the ADA will be held on June 21-24, 2024, at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. The Diabetes conference will feature a diverse and comprehensive program that covers all aspects of diabetes, from basic science to clinical care, from prevention to complications, from education to advocacy.
Conference will also provide a first look at the 2024 Standards of Care, the ADA’s annual update of the clinical practice recommendations for diabetes management. The Standards of Care are based on the best available evidence and expert consensus, and they aim to guide health care professionals and patients in making informed decisions about diabetes care.
Conference will also offer various opportunities for networking, collaboration, and professional development, such as the Young Investigators Forum, the Women in Diabetes Symposium, the Minority Affairs Symposium, and the Mentorship Program.
Registration and housing for the conference will open in January 2024. The abstract submission for the conference will close on January 8, 2024.
The conference website provides more information about the program, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and ancillary events.
The ADA also organizes the Clinical Update Conference, a three-day event that focuses on the practical application of the latest evidence and clinical practice recommendations for diabetes care. The Clinical Update Conference is designed for health care professionals who provide clinical care and education for people with diabetes.
The 2024 Clinical Update Conference will be held on February 2-4, 2024, at the Omni Orlando Resort at ChampionsGate in Orlando, Florida, as well as virtually. The conference will feature outstanding speakers and interactive sessions that will provide guidance and tips on how to implement the 2024 Standards of Care in daily practice.
Conference will also address some of the most relevant and challenging topics in diabetes care, such as the psychological implications of weight management, the use of technology and telemedicine, the management of cardiovascular and renal complications, and the prevention and treatment of hypoglycemia.
